Licence to operate a boom-type elevating work platform (Boom length 11 metres or more)
Pro Lift Training FNQ offers two options for gaining a ELEVATED WORK PLATFORM (WP) High Risk Work licence.
3 full days training and assessment course. Participants will attend on all 3 days to complete theory, practical and log book hours with our qualified trainer and assessor. On successful completion of this course, participants will be able to apply for a HIGH RISK ELEVATED WORK PLATFORM (WP) licence. This option may be suitable for participants without access to a workplace to gain log book hours, or workplaces who don’t have the resources to supervise staff while gaining log book hours. If at any time during these 3 days the assessor recognises the need for the participant to complete gap training, participants will be given their log book to gain practical hours in the workplace prior to attending an assessment day.
Cost for this course is $700.
Training and assessment of the ELEVATED WORK PLATFORM (WP) is conducted on 2 separate days. Once you have completed your training day, your trainer and assessor will issue you with a log book. They will then discuss with you the requirements of gaining practical hours within your working environment. Once you have logged the appropriate number of practical hours as stated by your assessor in your log book, you can book in and attend an assessment day.
Cost for the training session is $400 and is typically conducted in 1 day. Cost for the assessment session is $150 and is also typically conducted in 1 day.
PLEASE NOTE BEFORE YOU CAN GAIN AN ELEVATING WORK PLATFORM (EWP) LICENCE YOU MUST:
- Must have current Work Safely at Heights Statement of Attainment before commencing this course, this can also be completed with Pro Lift Training FNQ.
- Be 18 years or older to sit an assessment
- Be able to provide proof of identification as required by Worksafe.qld.go.au.
All learning materials and resources are included in the stated prices. Payment is payable in advance or by Purchase Order to confirm your booking. Due to a change in workplace health and safety requirements, all high risk work licence assessments need to be confirmed with Workplace Health and Safety within 3 days of assessments being conducted. Unfortunately due to this stipulation, we are unable to change your booking for assessments within the 3 day timeframe so please ensure that the assessment day/course you book is suitable. Please note that the stated fees above do not cover the cost for the high risk licence which you will need to apply for upon successful completion of your assessment. Applications for high risk work licences are submitted online and a fee is applicable. You will require a passport photo for your licence. Both Training & Assessment days run from 7.45am to approximately 4pm.
